A celebration of creativity, community, and sustainable fashion in the heart of McLaren Vale

The 2026 Recycled Runway McLaren Vale event brought an electric burst of creativity to Tatachilla Estate, transforming our historic grounds into a vibrant showcase of fashion, sustainability, and local talent. With photography by Carney Sims and videography by Saige Prime , the event captured the spirit of a community coming together to celebrate innovation with purpose.

Recycled Runway is about showing what’s possible when creativity and sustainability come together. Every year, the talent in our community raises the bar.

A Night Where Style Meets Sustainability

Recycled Runway has become a beloved fixture in the region — a platform where designers, students, and creatives reimagine fashion through the lens of reuse and environmental responsibility. This year’s event continued that tradition with bold concepts, unexpected materials, and runway looks that blended artistry with environmental awareness.

Tatachilla Estate’s rustic architecture and warm ambience provided the perfect backdrop, elevating each design as models moved through the space. The combination of heritage buildings, soft lighting, and the energy of the crowd created an atmosphere that felt both intimate and inspiring.

Showcasing Local Talent

The 2026 lineup featured an impressive mix of emerging designers and seasoned creatives, each presenting garments crafted from recycled, repurposed, or unconventional materials. From sculptural silhouettes to playful textures, the runway celebrated ingenuity and the power of sustainable thinking.

The event also highlighted the region’s strong creative community — artists, makers, stylists, and volunteers who contributed to the production, styling, and staging. Their collective effort brought the runway to life and reinforced the collaborative spirit that defines McLaren Vale.

The heart of this event is the talent grown right here in our community.

Capturing the Moment

The visual storytelling of the night was beautifully documented by Carney Sims and Saige Prime, whose work captured the movement, emotion, and detail of each design . Their imagery and film not only showcase the event but also preserve the creativity and craftsmanship behind every piece.
